The most magnificent temple in India is the Kedarnath Temple. The temple has importance in the name of Lord Shiva. People from all over the world visit Kedarnath. Samadhi pooja is the greatest festival which is celebrated at Kedarnath temple. It is held every year on the samadhi of Adi Shankaracharya. This grand samadhi pooja is held just before when kedarnath temple is going to close for the next six months.

Gaurikund
If you are visiting the Kedarnath temple then you have to start your journey from Gauri Kund. This famous place is situated in Guptakashi. Gaurikund is located on the banks of the Mandakini River.
